British New York Vice-Admiralty Court.
Captured ship: Bee (master Edward Hammond).
Capture history: an American ship (40 tons) bound from Beaufort, North Carolina to Curaçao, laden with naval stores, lard, tallow; taken on 22 February 1782 in latitude 31°30'N, longitude 70°W off Bermuda by HMS Perseverance (Skeffington Lutwidge commanding), and HMS Chatham (Andrew Snape Douglas commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: from the United States to the Caribbean Islands.
