Captured ship: Baptista (master Juan Baptista Xifre).
History: a Spanish privateer (schooner, 30 tons, 20 guns [unmounted], 34 men), bound from Havana to Cadiz, laden with silver dollars; taken on 8 February 1782 twenty leagues to west of Cape St Vincent by the privateer Lightning (John Walker commanding), and brought into [Lisbon ?].
Court papers: 1-8; Ship's papers: 9-21. [These are interim paper numbers, and are likely to change once more fully catalogued].
