Captured ship: Ann (master Christopher Bradley).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (brig, 150 tons) bound from Egg Harbor, New Jersey to Martinique, laden with lumber; taken on 14 June 1777 at Egg Harbor by HMS Haerlem (John Knight commanding), and HMS Roebuck (Andrew Snape Hamond commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: from the United States to the Caribbean Islands.
