Captured ship: Amable Josefa (master Juan Angel de Musques).
Capture history: a Spanish merchant ship (262 tons, 17 men) bound from San Sebastian to Bordeaux, laden with anchors, iron, oars, staves and hoops; taken on 9 June 1782, in latitude 45°N, longitude 1°56'W, about 9 leagues W off the river of Bordeaux by the privateer General Conway (David Mauger commanding), and brought into Jersey.
Intended voyage: from Spain to France.
