High Court of Admiralty.
Captured ship: Amable Josefa (master Juan Angel de Musques).
Capture history: a Spanish merchant ship (262 tons, 17 men) bound from San Sebastian to Bordeaux, laden with anchors, iron, oars, staves and hoops; taken on 9 June 1782, in latitude 45°N, longitude 1°56'W, about 9 leagues W off the river of Bordeaux by the privateer General Conway (David Mauger commanding), and brought into Jersey.
Intended voyage: from Spain to France.
Court papers numbered CP 1-3:-
- [CP 1]: attestation as to papers, brought in by David Mauger, 17 June 1782;
- [CP 2]: two depositions of Juan Angel de Musques) and Juan Miguel de Yrureta Goyena, and commissioners affidavit, 17 June 1782;
- [CP 3]: translations for the captor, 10 July 1782.
Ship's Papers numbered SP 1-32:-
- SP 1: ship's pass;
- SP 2: muster roll;
- SP 3-SP 32: bills of lading.
