Captured ship: Alexandrine of Dunkirk (commander François Hauchecorne).
Capture history: a French privateer (80 tons, 72 men including 6 Americans, formerly the English ship Sea Flower [of Folkestone]), now bound from Dunkirk on a cruise; taken on 18 May 1780 in latitude 57°40'N about 7 leagues off the Ness of Norway by HMS Chatham (William Allen commanding), and brought into Sheerness.
Intended voyage: a cruise from France.
