Captured ship: Aimable Jeanne of Bordeaux (master Joseph Duprée).
Capture history: a French merchant ship with a letter of marque (380 tons, 10 guns, 40 men) bound from Cap François, Saint Domingue to Bordeaux, laden with coffee, sugar, indigo and cotton; taken on 4 January 1781 in latitude 46°30'N, longitude 6°W by the privateer Tamer (Richard Wilkinson commanding), and brought into Weymouth.
Intended voyage: from the Caribbean Islands to France.
