Captured ship: Adventure (master Joseph L Tripp).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (brigantine, 95 tons, 16 guns, 23 men) bound from Dartmouth, Massachusetts to [unknown], laden with tobacco; taken on 2 May 1779 in latitude 37°5'N, longitude 70°W by the loyalist privateer Enterprize (Thomas Jarrord or Thomas Jolly commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: from the United States to [unknown].
