British New York Vice-Admiralty Court.
Captured ship: Adventure (master John Vesey).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (sloop, 100 tons, 13 men) bound from North Carolina to St Eustatius, laden with tobacco, flour, hams and lumber; taken off"Conacoch Bay" near North Carolina [Occohannock, Virginia ?] in latitude 35°N, longitude 75°W on 23 June 1778 by the loyalist privateer Enterprize (Daniel Squire commanding), and brought into New York.
Intended voyage: from the United States to the Caribbean Islands.
