Captured ship: Adventure (master Henry Minson of Virginia).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (schooner, 3 men) bound from Wyconnies to Occohannock, Virginia, laden with tobacco; taken on 15 July 1780 at Great Wyconnies, Virginia by the loyalist privateer Cat (John Dempsey commanding), and brought into [New York].
Intended voyage: within the United States.
