Captured ship: Adventure (master Philip Chamberlain).
Capture history: an American merchant ship (sloop, 60 tons, 10 men) bound from Hampton, Virginia to St Eustatius, laden with tobacco; taken on 25 May 1778 in latitude 32°34'N, longitude 62°34'W by the loyalist privateer Enterprize (Daniel Squire commanding), and brought into [New York].
Intended voyage: from the United States to the Caribbean Islands.
