Captured ship: Admiral Spry (master Bunsford, French prize master Jean Toussaint Agghidor).
Capture history: a British Impress Service ship (tender, 200 tons, 8 guns, 2 swivels, 12 men) bound from the Passage of Waterford, Ireland to Plymouth, with 115 pressed seamen and volunteers and several passengers; taken on 11 April 1780 by the French privateer Dunquerquoise (Vanstable commanding) about 15 leagues from Waterford and most of the pressed men put on board the privateer, retaken on 13 April 1780 between Scilly and the Lizard by HMS Ambuscade (Charles Phillipps commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
Intended voyage: from Ireland to England.
