Capture history: an American merchant ship (schooner, 30 tons) bound from [Virginia], laden with tobacco and bar iron; taken on 21 October 1780 at the Cliffs of Patuxent, Chesapeake Bay, Virginia by the loyalist privateers Active (Charles Barnet Goff commanding), Trimmer (John Philips commanding), and Flying Fish (John Taylor commanding), and brought into [New York].
Intended voyage: within the United States.
