The Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal was formerly known as the Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeals Panel (CICAP). The Tribunal considers appeals against decisions made by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) for appeals on claims for compensation for criminal injuries made on or after 1 April 1996 under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme.
