Administrative / biographical background

The Joint Health Claims Initiative (JHCI) was launched in December 2000 as the UK body, made up of representatives of the food industry, consumer interest groups and enforcement authorities, which aimed to provide voluntary advice on the truthfulness of health claims for foods. It closed in March 2007.

(Please Note: these snapshots were retrospectively taken in 2013 of this website which dates from 2007).
