Administrative / biographical background

The origins of the Vision 2012 Team are closely aligned to the successful London 2012 Olympic bid, whereafter it was necessary for the Arts Council England, as the main co-ordinator of national funding for Olympic related cultural events, to create a team to specifically to work on Olympics related arts and humanities events. It is estimated that the team was created in 2005 and it terminated in March 2013.
