Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to [Henry Saunders], Clerk to the Guardians of the Kidderminster Poor Law Union, acknowledging receipt of his letter of 23 February regarding the appointment of Mary Ann Burman, Schoolmistress. They call attention to the remarks contained in their letter relating to the appointment of schoolmaster which are applicable in this case. The salary attached to the post of schoolmistress is £20 and the Board suggest it be fixed at that amount.Annotated: no subsequent correspondence, 14 August 1850. No certificate yet awarded to her, 15 August 1850.
Also annotated: ask what the schoolmistress has been paid since her appointment and if the guardians are satisfied with the way she has discharged her duties, 16 August 1850.
