Description: [seq 16; folio 5] 'Reasons to be humbly offered why the Lord Craven's lands should not be sold.'.

[seq 18-20; seq 22-24; folios 6-9] 'Brief of the Lord Craven's case as it stands upon the General Pardon.' (By a vote in Parliament, Craven declared an offender under an Act of 24 August 1649). Two copies.

[seq 28; folio 10] Copy of an order by the Commissioners for Compounding, 18 February 1651, to the sequestration committees of Shropshire, Warwickshire, Sussex, Herefordshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Middlesex and London, that the estate of William Lord Craven be seized and secured.

[seq 31; folio 11] Copy of letter, 24 March 1652, from the Somerset committee at Taunton, advising that [the central committee] should act quickly to secure for the Commonwealth a large quantity of standing timber on land recently sold by Lord Craven. Signed: John Gorges, Nathaniel Quash, Samuel Whetcombe.

[seq 33; folio 12] Copy of an order by the Commissioners for Compounding, 8 January 1652, that the Oxfordshire committee refrain from felling any oak trees in Causham [Caversham] Park formerly belonging to Lord Craven, that timber being reserved for the use of the Navy.

[seq 35; folio 13] Copy of an order by the Commissioners for Compounding, 11 March 1651, to the county committees of Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Sussex, Shropshire, Herefordshire, London and Berkshire, that they sequestrate the estate of William, Lord Craven.
