Case Reference: Thomas Hassall, 21 October 1646.

Description: [seq 102; folio 37] Petition of Thomas Hassall of Amwell Magna, Hertfordshire, and his wife Elizabeth Hassall, to discharge from sequestration the land at Mucking in Essex seized from Mathias [Mathew] Prosse of London, held from the Dean and Chapter of St Paul's, on the grounds that he has died and the land should pass to his sister, Elizabeth Hassall.

[seq 104; folio 38] A testimonial of the inhabitants of Amwell Magna to the good character of their minister, Thomas Hassall, and his wife, Elizabeth. Signed (among others): Nicholas Clarke, William Moore, the mark of Leonard Wrenn, Mark? Shephard, John Furnace, William Larkin, Gabriel Chest?, Willom Mathews, Francis Walker.

[seq 105] Endorsed: 'Mr Hassall, Corp. Forster's Friend'.

[seq 106; folio 39] Order, 21 October 1646, to refer the case to John Bradshaw.

[seq 108-109; folio 40] Copy of the Rolls for the manor of Mucking in Essex (in Latin, dated 28 July 1646), endorsed as a true copy of the roll by Edmund Forster, 16 February 1647.
