Description

Folio Range: [seq 261-273; folios 108-113].

Case Reference: John Cooke, 29 July 1645.

Description: [seq 262; folio 108] Report by John Bradshaw, 28 May 1647, that according to an indenture dated 25 February 1641, John Cooke loaned Arnold Burghill £600, guaranteed on the latter's lands, now under sequestration.

[seq 264; folio 109] Affidavit, 24 May 1647, of John Cooke.

[seq 266; folio 110] Certified copy, 24 May 1647, of the recognizance of debt of 25 February 1641 between Arnold Burghill of Whithington, Herefordshire, and John Cooke.

[seq 268; folio 111] Order, 12 May 1647, referring the case to John Bradshaw.

[seq 270; folio 112] Copy of petition of John Cooke that he be allowed to exploit the sequestrated lands to recover the money owed to him.

[seq 272-273; folio 113] Certificate, 6 March 1648, of the Committee for Herefordshire and Gloucestershire that the estate of Sir Henry Lyngen, including the manor of Burghill that was mortgaged to John Cooke, is under sequestration.
