Description

Folio Range: [seq 227-232; folios 97-98.]

Case Reference: Sir Henry and Lady Elinor Hastings, 30 May 1644.

Description: [seq 227; folio 97] Petition, 23 July 1645, of Sir Henry Hastings stating that his estate has been sequestrated by the committee of Leicester. Declares himself no delinquent and has freely given and lent sums of money to Parliament and paid his taxes. Asks the committee to order the Leicester committee to deliver a copy of the charges and let him hear the witnesses and produce his own witnesses to answer the charges against him.

[seq 231; folio 99] Petition of Lady Elinor Hastings, late wife of Sir Henry Hastings of Bramston, Leicestershire.
