Visit of HMS "Cambrian" to Easter Island and Tahiti: transmits extracts from letters from Commanding Officer, Captain E F A Gaunt; the Admiralty are not in accord with views expressed as to strategic value of Tahiti and has no information relative to French intention to give up the island.
