Description

States that he has called a meeting of the Legislature and it is his intention to propose incorporation of the Caymanas [Cayman Islands] with Jamaica. Other matters for discussion include the Police Bill, arrangements for the reception of immigrants, and amendments to some other bills. Submits remarks on the abolition of apprenticeship, withdrawal of the troops, and his resignation, and suggests imposition of a duty of 4½% on exports. With duplicate despatch.
