Description

Folios 59-62. Abyssinia: code 1, file 18102, paper 28798.

Sent by Mansfeldt de Cardonnel Findlay, the British Agency and Consulate General, Cairo, 24/08/1906.

Transmits telegram from Sir John Harrington: little probability of a general conference of representatives at Adis Ababa to devise a concerted plan of defence in event of Menelek's death; explains French and Italian Legations will probably defend themselves separately, but Russia will need to cooperate with the British Legation as it has no water supply.
