Sent by Lord Cromer, the British Agency and Consulate General, Cairo, 27/05/1906.

Transmits telegram from Sir John Harrington, expressing concern about the state of Menelek's health and the situation of Europeans in Abyssinia and requesting authority to spend up to £20,000 for emergency measures in event of the King's death and possible civil war.
