Sent by Lord Cromer, the British Agency and Consulate General, Cairo, 07/02/1906.

Reports pressure from local directors upon the Abyssinian Bank to take up the railway question; the death of Sir Elwin Palmer causes difficulty due to lack of alternative contacts; suggests restraint should be brought to bear on French directors.
