Plymouth Officers. There is no advantage or disadvantage to changing the numbering system. The timber to be sent is specified in the contract and is refused if it does not comply, the Purveyor's opinion does not ensure it does not have defects or is improperly converted and it is sufficient for the pieces to be marked with the purpose for which they are to be used. If a certificate, or affidavit, is sent with the timber this would ensure the correct amount of carriage is paid.
