Description

Commissioner Richard Hughes, Portsmouth. Receipt of letters and warrants with a ticket for paying the wages of William James of the Endeavour storeship, that Sheridan and Harvey are not mustered on the Clerk of the Cheque's books at Woolwich and Thomas Baker, Boatswain of the Phoenix, should be discharged from her from the date of the sentence of the Court Martial for him to be dismissed, to confirm to the canon for proportioning of barge and pinnace's masts and topmasts for lateen sails, to fit the Carysfort for foreign and the Seaford for Channel service, to reimburse him the sum expended in comptrolling the payments at Spithead, to take off the chocks at the floorheads of the ships building, confirming the contract made with William Gain and partners for performing the cartage of the New Forest timber, to receive stores for Portsmouth, to supply the St. John Schooner with a bell and to inform how long Mr. Winter, Master Bricklayer of the Yard, was employed in the service.
