Commissioner Richard Hughes, Portsmouth. Receipt of letter that Mr. Sutton, Secretary to the Earl of Rochford, has informed the Admiralty that the trial of Joshua Dudley for his scandalous imposture in the pretended discovery of the authors of the fire here, is expected to come on next Friday and is to send 2 intelligent persons to give evidence and be examined as witnesses. Has ordered Thomas Pollard, Master Boatbuilder and John Atfield, Foreman of the Ropeyard, to set out in a post chaise for London. They will wait on Mr. Francis on their arrival. Is sending the Glory's pay books and her monthly books by Messrs. Clark's machine, today. Is sending the daily progress and a letter from the Clerk of the Cheque asking for an imprest for the contingent expenses
