Edward Bowle. He is part owner of the Adventure of Ipswich. On the 9th she was in Longreach and he was acting as Mate to his son Thomas Bowle, Master. Men from the merchant ship Portia came on board looking for his son Thomas who had been pressed to the Portia but had run away. He was not on board the Adventure. His son Edward was beaten and carried off to the Portia where he was again beaten and put in irons before being put on shore. His own life was threatened. Asks the Board to prevent any harm coming to him.
