Description

This series contains published lists of officers of the Army and Marines with indexes. This includes those on half-pay. Volumes up to 1781 include militia forces and fencibles.

These volumes were published by the War Office annually from 1754. Some volumes contain manuscript annotations and ownership marks or labels, and some volumes are with War Office Library stamps or labels (1767, 1768).
