Description

These leather-bound volumes contain printed Parliamentary Bills and amendments, together with weeded documentation including drafting notes, significant correspondence relating to the preparation of the legislation, opinions and memoranda. Each volume contains a number of smaller Bills that were not bound individually.

The contents of the series reflect the translation of policy into legislation and give a valuable historical insight into the process at the highest level. Individual sponsoring government departments when considering further legislation often need to consult the original Office of the Parliamentary Counsel records when they have not retained or transferred their own records on legislation that they sponsored.

Some pieces contain indexes.
