Description
Letter from Mrs D K Daamen, member of the public from Surrey and married to a Dutch man, to the Foreign Office stating that there is growing ill-feeling in Holland on the subject of restitution of Dutch goods looted by the Germans, dated 3 September 1945. The letter asks whether anything can be done to expedite the return of these goods. Letter from Mr Tahourdin at the Foreign Office to Mrs Daamen, explaining that 'we hope that it will be possible to continue the return to allied countries on a larger scale of such of their property as can be found', dated 20 September 1945.
