The Defence Materiel (Pay, Manpower and Works Services) Division [DM2] was created in 1982 as a result of the HM Treasury re-organisation, inheriting functions from the Defence Materiel Division. It's functions were taken over in 1996 by the Defence Service Pay and Accommodation Division
