The Pay Group was in existence from 1981 to 1993. By 1990 a 'Civil Service Management and Pay Sector' was created to encompass the Pay Group and its Divisions. In 1991 what had formerly been three Pay Divisions was reduced to two and a 'Conditions of Service and Industrial Relations (CSIR) Division' and this lasted to 1993.
