The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) was created to provide the capital works construction and infrastructure chiefly at the main Olympic site in Stratford, East London but also at other UK Olympic venues.
Aligned to the Olympic Lottery Distributor's (OLD) role to provide financial resources from UK National Lottery funds for the planning and implementation of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, a £2.6m grant, the, OLD made a grant of just over £1.7 billion to the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) in the form of two grants; a Lifetime Grant and a Supplemental Grant (69.2 million made in February 2010). The OLD grants were subject to a number of conditions, the purpose of which was to provide the basis for effective monitoring of the use of National Lottery funds and to secure value for money.
