Arrangement
Arrangement

Before reclassification these papers were divided into ten London and nine York series. On examination it was found that very large numbers of duplicate items had been included, and that some of the items also duplicated material in the former LCA, RC and SC series. It was also found that items on the same or closely related subjects had been put in different MT series, and sometimes copies of the same items had been treated differently in the London and York collections. A radical reclassification of the material was therefore undertaken.
