Description

This series contains records of the Great Western Railway Company relating to the royal train, its dealings with the royal family concerning travel arrangements, and the funeral of George V. It also contains records of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway relating to the royal train.

The papers have been collected from different sources and thus there is no unified system of former reference. The papers have been grouped in chronological order under a main title which gives the railway company from which the papers originate, followed by the event or subject.
