The Windsor, Slough and Staines Atmospheric Railway was proposed by a bill deposited in parliament in 1846. The railway would have commenced at a junction with the Great Western Railway near the Royal Hotel in Slough, Bucks, running through Datchet and terminating at a junction with the proposed Richmond and Staines Railway at Staines, Middx. A triangular junction near Datchet was also proposed with a branch terminating near Datchet Lane, New Windsor, Berks.
The scheme met with considerable objection and the bill was not passed.
