Description

Prisoner name: William Toynton and John Davison.

Court and date of trial: Spalding Quarter Sessions [Lincolnshire] January 1828.

Crime: Riot and assault on a constable in the execution of his duty.

Initial sentence: Two years' imprisonment and fined 20/-.

Annotated: Remission prepared 8 May 1829.

Grounds for clemency: 'Extraordinary good conduct' while in the House of Correction.

Correspondence: Letter from William Moore, Chairman of the Lincolnshire Court of Quarter Sessions.

Additional Information: Convicts held in the House of Correction at Spalding, Lincolnshire.
