Description

Prisoner name: Robert Smith alias Robert Womack.

Prisoner age: 22.

Court and date of trial: Old Bailey January 1825.

Crime: Felony committed 1825.

Initial sentence: Seven years' transportation.

Petitioner(s): William Womack, licensed victualler, the convict's father, at the sign of Artichoke, Ratcliff Highway, London.

Grounds for clemency: First conviction; convict was led astray; he realises his errors and would reform if released; has served four years; father would reemploy him; behaviour good during confinement.

Other papers: Letter from William Womack enclosing petition.
