Grounds for clemency: The convict's father has brought up his children 'in a correct and proper manner'; the convict protests his innocence; Henry Bishop who gave evidence against Peters has twice been indicted; the convict's father lost a leg in 1805 and has been a pensioner since; the high reward offered for the discovery of the offender affected his being convicted.
