Convict details: Robert Grimsdale convicted at the Old Bailey on 17 May 1820 of stealing from the person. Initial sentence: transportation for life.
Convict details: William Carr convicted at New Sarum [Wiltshire] on 16 March 1827 of receiving stolen goods. Initial sentence: seven years' transportation.
Recommended by J H Capper, Superintendent.
Grounds for clemency: Good behaviour in the Penitentiary and on the hulks; recommended by Mr Capper, Superintendent.
Annotated: Free pardon prepared February 1827.
