Recommendation for the mitigation of sentence for selected prisoners on board Ganymede hulk.

Convict details: Thomas Bloore, aged 30, convicted at Warwick [Warwickshire] on 13 October 1831 of stealing brass.

Convict details: John Adams, aged 36, convicted at Bedford [Bedfordshire] on 17 April 1822 of stealing pigeons.

Convict details: Charles Hurton, aged 32, convicted at Monmouth [Monmouthshire] on 10 August 1822 of stealing a copper.

Convict details: John Jones, aged 45, convicted at Mold [Flintshire] on 20 August 1822 of burglary.

Convict details: Thomas Rigby, aged 35, convicted at Chester [Cheshire] on 26 August 1822 of stealing wheat.

Convict details: John Chard, aged 29, convicted at London on 11 September 1822 of stealing tea.

Convict details: Edward Roberts, aged 36, convicted at Maidstone [Kent] on 15 October 1822 of stealing teaspoons.

Convict details: Daniel McInnis, aged 24, convicted at Glasgow [Lanarkshire] on 16 September 1822 of housebreaking.

Convict details: John Lacey, aged 38, convicted at Middlesex on 23 October 1822 of stealing brewers' casks.

Convict details: Robert Matthews, aged 18, convicted at Middlesex on 22 May 1822 of stealing copper.

Convict details: Charles Byrne, aged 19, convicted at Middlesex on 20 February 1822 of stealing horse bags and oats.

Convict details: Samuel Wosley, aged 19, convicted at Middlesex on 3 July 1822 of stealing loafs [soap].

Recommendation submitted by: Edward Ridgell, Captain, and Samuel Watson, Chaplain. Recommended by John H Capper, Superintendent.

Grounds for clemency: The convicts have served more than half of their sentence and shown quiet, orderly and good conduct on board; recommended by the Commander and principal officers of the hulk.

Annotated: Free pardon prepared February 1827.
