Description

Prisoner name: John Littlewood.

Court and date of trial: [Coventry] [Date not stated].

Crime: Felony - stealing a few fowls.

Initial sentence: 15 months imprisonment.

Petitioner(s): Thomas Littlewood, Elder of the city of Coventry [Warwickshire] and the convict's father and 28 people.

Grounds for clemency: First offence; shows penitence; has a wife and two children; Coventry is in an impoverished state.
