Description

Prisoner name: Robert Kilby.

Prisoner age: 17.

Court and date of trial: Old Bailey February Sessions 1820.

Crime: Felony - stealing a watch from the person.

Initial sentence: Seven years transportation.

Annotated: Considered by Lord Sidmouth on 21 June 1821; nil.

Petitioner(s): Robert Kilby and Judith Kilby, the convict's parents, and 25 people of Clerkenwell [Middlesex] as to his good character.

Grounds for clemency: First offence; a hardworking and sober youth; supported family as father has gout.
