Incorporated by name "Company of Proprietors of Bath and Bristol Canal and Bristol Water Works" under act of 15th June 1811. By minute 13th October 1814 it was resolved unanimously that execution of Canal and Waterworks was not likely to be beneficial to proprietors and that all property be offered for sale to Kennet and Avon Canal Company.

From 20th September 1815 to 29th September 1819, eight meetings of Committee of Management were called, but there being no Member of Committee present, principal clerks to company adjourned meeting to another date. Last adjourned meeting called was for a fortnight from 29th September 1819 but there record ends.
