Incorporated by act of 7th August 1862. On 8th September 1897, a receiver and Manager was appointed at instance of Great Central Railway Company, and under Great Central Railway Act of 1904, Wrexham, Mold & Connah's Quay Railway Company was vested in Great Central Railway Company from 1st January 1905. Great Central Railway Company was vested in London & North Eastern Railway Company from 1st January 1923 by virtue of North Eastern, Eastern and East Scottish Group Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated 30th December 1922.
