By the Wrexham and Minera Railway Act 11th June 1866, certain portion of line became vested in Wrexham and Minera Railway Joint Committee whilst remaining portion of line became vested in Great Western Railway Company by virtue of Section 57 of Great Western Railway Additional Powers Act 1871. By resolution of London and North Western and Great Western Railway Joint Committee of 4th August 1871, Wrexham and Minera Railway Joint Committee was to be dissolved after passing of appropriate resolutions (see Minute 1439 page 3 of LNGW 1/5), and by Minute of 1st September 1871, No. 1464, on page 26 of same volume, it is recorded that by Minute dated 19th August of London and North Western Railway Board, and Minute dated 30th August of Great Western Railway Board, of that year, Wrexham and Minera Railway Joint Committee was abolished and London and North Western and Great Western Railways Joint Committee substituted.
