Incorporated by their act of 15th August 1853 and amalgamated with Newport Abergavenny & Hereford Railway Company in Oxford Worcester & Wolverhampton Railway Company as from 1st July 1860 under West Midland Railway Act 14th June 1860, by which Act also name of amalgamated company was changed to West Midland Railway Company.
West Midland Railway Company was amalgamated with Great Western Railway Company as from 1st August 1863 by Great Western Railway (West Midland Railway) Amalgamation Act of 13th July 1863.
