Incorporated by Board of Trade certificate dated 13th June 1883, granted under Railways Construction Facilities Act 1864 and Railways (Powers & Construction) Act 1864 Amendment Act 1870. Under Wirral Railway (Amalgamation) Act 11th June 1891, Wirral Railway Company and Seacombe, Hoylake & Dee Side Railway Company were dissolved as from 1st July 1891 and united into and incorporated as a new company by name Wirral Railway Company. Wirral Railway Company was vested in London Midland & Scottish Railway Company as from 1st July 1923 under London Midland & Scottish Railway Absorption (No.1) Scheme 1923 dated 14th July 1923.
